FCS Showcases e-Housekeeping Solution to Shangri-La Hotels at Housekeeping Workshops in Hong Kong

With the goal of continuing to educate their housekeeping executives on the latest in housekeeping solutions, FCS has been invited to take part in a series of workshops hosted by Shangri-La Hotel Group’s Headquarters; the latest being held on August 30th in Hong Kong.

During the workshop, FCS e-Housekeeping and m-Housekeeping solutions were showcased, with those present given the chance to see how cutting-edge technology can enhance both housekeeping efficiency and guest satisfaction. As a web-based backend system designed with state of the art logic-based rules and conditions, the e-Housekeeping focused workshop demonstrated how common issues including cleaning the wrong room or overlooking an assignment can easily be avoided. Conversely with e-Housekeeping, management can always ensure that a task is always assigned to the right individual, and that all team members are able to update and view the status of any assignment in real time.

The HM Awards have for the 14th time in a row, recognized the accommodation industry’s finest staff, properties, brands and chains across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. This year, FCS was honored to be one of the event’s sponsors along with being giving the opportunity of presenting the prize to the chosen winner.

The winners of the 2016 HM Awards for Accommodation Excellence were announced in front of 700 attendees at Sydney Town Hall. A total of 68 awards were handed out on the night. During the ceremony, Trudi Chambers, Country Manger of Australia for FCS was given the distinguished role of presenting the Tech-Hotel of the Year Award to Crown Towers Melbourne.

The award ceremony also served as a meaningful fund raising night for the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, through the Connie Johnson Fellowship in Breast Cancer Research. Thanks to efforts of those donating, a significant amount of money was raised this year from the Australasian hotel industry.
