Time flies when least expected and yet it stands still when we want it to fly by. Regardless what has happened, the year before has passed and we are heading in to a new one. On behalf of everyone at FCS, we would like to thank you for all your support, trust and guidance during the past 12 months. Just a quick recap, we have started releasing our m-Solution with a series of applications launched on smart devices (m-Connect, FCS i-Guest and FCS i-Guest Hotels Finder applications) and our truly cloud enabled Unicorn and c-Connect solutions.

In 2012, we are looking forward to launching other m-Solution systems: m-Services, m-Housekeeping, m-Engineering and m-Recovery. We are going to enhance NetXcess Pro, our Internet billing gateway, with personalized web portal pages as well as providing Guest Support, we’ll rollout our i-Guest v3.0 application, e-Housekeeping and other innovative solutions (to be announced later).

A global promotional campaign with Samsung to jointly endorse FCS i-Guest Hotels Finder was launched in November, 2011. Under this collaboration, FCS i-Guest Hotels Finder is exclusively available in the Samsung Apps marketplace for the first 3 months. It is also available for iPhones and iPads in the Apple iTune Store now. FCS c-Connect is the cloud-enabled version of the FCS e-Connect solution, running on proven open sourced technologies including Java, Spring, GWT (by Google), Hibernate, Tomcat (eTrade/WalMart) and Apache (Common Web server). It is an automated guest service request (for both in-house guests and non-in-house guests) and inter-department work order dispatching system. c-Connect sends jobs via various handheld devices, email and/or printers for different departments. c-Connect can be installed onsite, hosted privately by a hotel chain or can be publicly hosted by FCS with subscription services.

From 1st February, 2012, c-Connect will be hosted by Rackspace in the United States for its global release to any customers who want a true cloud enabled service request and inter-department work order dispatch system. Specifically, the publicly hosted approach removes the capital expenditure (CAPEX) requirement for the implementation of new technology and allows hotels to use such an advanced job dispatching system provided by FCS, on a yearly subscription basis.

With c-Connect and m-Connect, hotels can really enhance their guest services and improve their operations with less costs than the traditional methods. It is time to experience what true cloud and mobile solutions can really bring to hospitality.

Erynn joins FCS with a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry for nearly 14 years, where she was an integral part of building such companies as Metropolis and Intelity. She will assist in growing the FCS brand and market share in the region. Erynn reports to Cris Davidson, Senior Director of Sales & Operations of North America.

Simon Tang, Director of Product Management

Simon comes to FCS with over 11 years of experience in the global hospitality and IT industry. He will lead the product team to create more innovative products with an aggressive development roadmap.
